First Haircut

Well, not a total haircut - just a trim here and there. My talented sis-in-law, Jen, trimmed his neck and the lock of hair he had. He's so handsome with his new do!

My sister, Rach, tagged me. I have to write 7 things I love, not including church and family. Here goes:

1. RUNNING - I can honestly say that I love to run. I have been running since I was in 9th grade. It's an addiction. I run Monday - Saturday. I prefer to run outside but don't mind the treadmill during the hot, summer months. I love the alone time to just think or listen to music while I run. I love how good I feel after a run. I love running outside and feeling the warmth of the sun. I LOVE to run.

2. CHOCOLATE - It's a part of my life. I eat chocolate pretty much everyday. I love to buy bags of mini candy bars and freeze them and then eat a few throughout the day. Twix are my favorite. I don't really like chocolate cake or chocolate ice cream. A simple candy bar will do for me. When I am desperate and out of candy bars, I usually break open a bag of chocolate chips(Ghirrardeli of course) to tied me over.

3. SHOPPING - My list wouldn't be complete without it. There's something about finding a new, cute shirt that just makes me happy. I always say that if I ever became rich, shopping would be my downfall. Thank goodness for Target and their affordable prices. I love going to the mall, Target, Old Navy, and the grocery store. Shopping is something that will never get boring. I prefer to shop alone or with my mom and sisters. I don't like to feel rushed.

4. COOKBOOKS - Call me what you want, I love to read cookbooks. I will seriously sit down and read a cookbook from front to back. I love reading all the recipes and instructions. I love to bake, so I like to get ideas from the cookbooks as I read them. You will never find me reading a novel or the latest best seller, just a cookbook.

5. HOLLYWOOD TRASH - I know it's stupid and a waste of time but I love the latest celebrity goss. I love to read People magazine and look at all the pictures. I love to watch E!News, Extra, Daily 10 - all those dumb shows about the people who get paid too much to entertain us. If I am ever flying somewhere, I always by a People mag to read on the plane. It's a must.

6. SUMMERTIME - Swimming, hot days, watermelon, vacations, sunshine, BBQ's, late nights, getting a tan - I love it all! It's my favorite season.

7. CHRISTMAS LIGHTS - I get an instant smile everytime I see a house with Christmas lights. I love to drive around neighborhoods at Christmas time to look at all the lights. I love to go to the houses that are on the news or in the newspaper for having the most Christmas lights. My house will one day be one of those houses! I prefer white lights but any color will do.

I tag Megan Hess.

Ode to my Wisconsin friends...

Here are some pictures of my friends in Wisconsin. Aren't they all so cute? I miss them so much!! Since we all lived away from our families, our friends were our family. We hung out every weekend together and had a lot of fun. Thanks, girls, for making Milwaukee a better place!! Love ya!

Mr. Son

Griffin is 3 months old today! I can't believe how fast time goes by. Sometimes I wish I could stop time because I don't want him to grow up. He is such a good baby and is so much fun to be with. It's so fun to watch his little personality develop. I love to cuddle with him, hear him laugh, make him smile, talk to him, kiss on him, and watch him as he is easily entertained by the fan. He is my buddy and I absolutely LOVE being a mom! And in case you were wondering, Mr. Son is what I call him. Happy Mother's Day everyone!

Another Easy Dinner Idea

The other night, I made Chicken Ceasar Salad Wraps for dinner and they were a hit. It was SO easy and very tasty! Here are the ingredients needed:

Sun-dried tomato tortillas (got mine at Sprouts)
2 or 3 chicken breasts seasoned and baked or grilled
1 package of ceasar salad in a bag (comes with dressing, croutons and cheese)

Bake chicken then chop. Assemble salad. Put salad and chicken on tortilla and wrap it up. This made 4 wraps.

Nurse Natty

Congrats to my little sister Nat! Last Friday, Natalie graduated from the nursing program at BYU. Our whole family went up for it and had such a fun time. Ryan, Griffin and I stayed with Dusty and Jade in Orem, while the rest of my fam stayed at Annette's house in South Jordan. Griffin was seriously the best boy throughout the trip. He barely cried and only had 3 blowouts! Gotta love those! It was so fun to visit family and friends and spend time with Nat and Dave. I always enjoy a visit to Utah now and again!

Annette's Famous Spread

The night before Nat's graduation, our cutest Aunt Annette had a dinner at her house to honor Natty girl. She did her usual, delicous spread which consists of taco salad, funeral potatoes, different jello salads, veggies, fruit, salsa, taquitos, rolls, and lots of other yummy foods. This time she did a chocolate fountain, which is always a hit. It was so fun and so nice of her to do that for Nat. Marnie came with her 2 kids, Maddie and Joey. It was so good to see her and her pregnant belly. She looks great!!
