Griffin is now a little over 5 months and is getting so big! He smiles all the time and is a happy little guy. He loves to roll from one side of the room to the other and continues to chew on EVERYTHING!! Here are some pictures of him swinging and hanging out with his cousin Wyatt. It's so cute because Wyatt loves Griffin and gives him hugs everytime he sees him.

Today is Ryan's 27th b-day! I hope you have a fun day honey. Thanks for being such a great husband and daddy! We are going to celebrate by going out to dinner and then to a movie. We haven't been to the movies since Griffin was born, so we are looking forward to it! I love you Ry!

So Griffin is in the stage where he puts EVERYTHING in his mouth. He loves to chew and suck on everything he can get his hands on. As seen in the pictures below, I let him suck on pieces of fruit while I hold them. As he sucks the life out of each piece, I worry the whole time that I am going to lose my grip and choke my baby. Fortunately, my wiser, older sister told me about this nifty food net. It might be one of the best inventions....next to Tivo that is. Just put a piece of fruit in the net, shut it, and let your baby go to town! Griffin loves it! He will suck a piece of a peach right down to a few strands of pulp. What a great idea!!!!!

Here are some pictures of Griffin and his first encounter with watermelon and oatmeal cereal. He LOVED sucking on the watermelon but wasn't so sure about the cereal. He likes it better now. The sad face pic is when I took the watermelon away. He's a fiesty little sucker! He grabs everything in sight, now, and puts it right into his mouth. Love this little guy!

Last week, my parents rented a cabin in the mountains. My whole family went and had a great time. We had so much fun hanging out in the cooler weather and pretty scenery. We made crafts, took walks, watched movies, went to the park, went swimming, played softball, ate good food and made good memories. Thanks again, T and L, for a fun-filled, family vacation!!
