Domestic Bliss

                                               The finished product
                                              Katie and I (domestic goddesses)
                                        Thanks, Jack, for entertaining Griffin!

Years ago, our moms would get together every September and make pear-raspberry jam.  They would work all day to produce multiple jars of this most beloved fruit spread.   Unfortunately, they have not made it the past couple of years.  So this year, Katie and I decided we would carry on the tradition and make the delicious jam ourselves.   It was a smashing success and the jam is actually quite tasty!  Can't wait for next September when we can do it again!!

Poor Griffy

It was bound to happen.  Griffin got his first ear infection.  I knew something was up when my usually happy baby became fussy and clingy a few days ago.  So, off to Urgent Care we went this morning and it was confirmed - ear infection.  (So sad that I missed your lunch Krista)  Luckily, Griffin loves just about everything we stick in his mouth, so the pink medicine should go over smoothly.  Feel better soon baby!

Kelly Ripa Arms

So a couple of months ago, the Regis and Kelly show had a "Workout Week" that showed what Regis and Kelly do to workout.  Being the Kelly fan that I am, I was quite interested to find out what Kelly does for exercise.  She runs for cardio and then uses a medicine ball to tone and strengthen her arms.  So of course I had to get a medicine ball just like Kelly!  I got the 6lb ball, just like hers, and let me tell you, it's a workout!  It's fun to use alone or throw back and forth with someone.  Kelly draws the letters of the alphabet in the air while holding the ball and squatting.  I am yet to get the whole alphabet done but I'm working on it!  Just a few more weeks and I will be sporting some arms just like Kelly!!
