I am one lucky girl to have such close girlfriends whom I have known forever and love as sisters. They are all amazing in their own ways and I look up to each one of them. We grew up together and share most of our childhood, teenage and young adult memories together. We know each others embarrassing moments, first kisses, heartbreaks, trials, and triumphs. Each of us is so different but when we are together it makes for a very FUN time!! We are all married with families of our own. Living the lives we grew up talking about. We each have our struggles. We each have our unique talents. I am in awe of these girls and so lucky to call them my best friends. Thanks, girls, for the fabulous weekend!!! I hope it's not too long before another fun weekend getaway. Love you.

We drove to Flagstaff on Friday and stayed overnight at Sara's adorable house. We went to dinner then stayed up till 5:30 in the morning talking, crying and laughing our heads off. Saturday, we left the house around 2pm for some lunch, shopping, more talking and more laughing. We watched Sara sing and play at a benefit dinner then hit the road to get back home. It was refreshing, therapeutic, FUN and too short. I haven't laughed for 24 hours straight since our last trip 10 years ago.

Sara played at a benefit dinner, so we got to go watch her perform. SO, SO good!

Special thanks to Sara for letting us stay at her house. She was a great hostess! We missed the other girls who couldn't make the trip.

Birthdays and Snow days

We didn't have an official birthday party for Griffy this year, but he did get some cool presents and a fun weekend in the snow!

We gave him a scooter, just like his cousin's.
Grandma Gibb gave him this race car track that he loves!
Hallie and Emery
T always has to keep up on the daily news.
Fun in the snow.
My sassy sista!
My marvelous mom
There is no tv up at the cabin so we brought this tiny DVD player for the little kids.
And last but not least, stealing a kiss from my hubby!

Today is Griffin's birthday!! I can't believe it's already been two years. I can't remember my life without Mr. Griffer. Happy Birthday Griffin!! We love you!

Some of my favorite things about Griffin:

- He sleeps until 9.
- He runs everywhere he goes.
- He is OBSESSED with trains, cars, trucks and motorcycles.
- He loves balloons.
- When I'm holding him, he occasionally grab my face and give me a kiss. Melts my heart.
- He is a good eater, especially when it comes to fries or "my cream."
- He remembers the craziest things.
- He loves to sit in the spa at night with daddy.
- He loves Bumpa and Bumpa's truck.
- He loves to sing the monkey song.
- He made me a mother.

Every time my birthday or Christmas rolls around, Ryan surprises me with some fun and fabulous gift. He's really good at tuning in when I mention something that I want or like or need and always remembers it. He's also really good at keeping it a surprise which makes it so fun. I, on the other hand, am the opposite when it comes to getting gifts for him. He usually ends up taking them back if that tells you anything. But that's another post. Anyways, Christmas came and, once again, the hubby did not disappoint. He surprised me with a picture board that he made (with a little help from his friend Rob). I was not only surprised but quite impressed with his skills! He's got serious skills. I absolutely love it!! And I love it even more because he made it. So, thanks, honey for the fabulous Christmas present. You never disappoint. Love you.

The past couple of days have been filled with fun activities.

Friday, we went to the zoo with our fun friends, Krista, Krew and Cash.

Don't look too closely at the giraffes. I guess it's mating season! I thought this was a good way to teach Griff about the birds and the bees.
Cody and Brittney invited us to go to Amazing Jakes for dinner and bowling.
The place is huge and really fun! Thanks, Smiths, for the fun date!!
I was itchin' to make sugar cookies for Valentines so I made some for our nursery kids.
Griff topped off the weekend with some chocolate pudding at Grandma's.

Birthday Weekend

This weekend was F-U-N! It began with a party and ended with a party. Thanks to all my friends and family who made my 29th bday so great!!

Friday we went to lunch at our favorite spot, Cracker's.

Then, Friday night, Ry took me out on the town! We saw "Bride Wars"(cute) then dined at La Grande Orange for some tasty pizza and the best gelato (really, the best). Thanks honey for the fun date!
Saturday morning, I ran the London's Run half marathon. It is by far my favorite race. It's out at Schnepf Farms. The race is to benefit children with cancer. I teared up multiple times throughout the race as I ran past signs with pictures of children fighting cancer. Each sign read an encouraging phrase like, "Don't give up, You can do it." It was so inspiring and I felt honored to be there.
My honey came home with my favorite flowers - tulips!
The most important part of a superbowl party - the food!! Despite the Cardinals losing, it was a great game with lots of excitement. We'll get 'em next year Cards!!

Cheers to turning 29!
