Little Natty-girl

This last week, my younger, smarter, stylish, pregnant sister, Nat(and her hubby), moved to L.A. Dave is going to attend grad school there. I already miss that girl so much! Soon after Ryan and I moved back from Wisconsin, Nat and Dave moved here from Cali. So we've all been here for about 2 years and we have loved every minute of it! I will miss meeting up with Nat for a quick lunch or yogurt. I will miss having her at our bake fests. I will miss Nat and Dave at Sunday dinners. And I will just miss Nat. She's our little mama's girl turned independent. And now she's gonna be a mama to her baby girl. I'm quite jealous that she gets to live by the beach and bask in the cool weather and live amongst celebrities. Man, I can't wait to visit her!! Love you Nat.

Cali Trip '09

A couple of weeks ago, we were able to go to the beach with my parents and Dave and Nat. We had SO much fun!! We went to the beach everyday and soaked up the wonderful weather. It is my favorite vacation of the year and I'm so glad my parents let us tag along with them! We missed the Cunninghams and Tuckers this time. Griffin loved playing in the sand and chasing the seagulls. He wasn't too into the water. Oh, Cali, I miss you already!!

On Wed. evening, we took the coaster into San Diego to go to Ghirardellis. Griffy LOVED riding on the train. I think we'll make it a tradition!

This is T's favorite thing to do on the beach - read a magazine and fall asleep.

Thanks again to my parents for the fabulous trip!!

A little of this, a little of that!

So I thought these were in order but they're not. Why is it so tricky? Anyways, here's what we've been up to the past couple of weeks.

Dave and Ryan at the adult date night dinner.
Rach and Nat(and her fetus)
Griffin loves to help me make cookies.
A kid after my own heart! Nothing better than cookie dough.
Adult date night continued. T, L, and BC.
Jen and I.
The group minus T who was taking the picture and Ry who was home studying for Step 2. It's finally over and we are SO glad!
Griffin found his Halloween costume from last year and loves to wear the birdie pants around.
He's my crazy boy!
We celebrated the July bdays with a swim/bbq at my parent's house. The birthday boys and the beloved Dairy Queen cake!

Modified

In the past year or so, Ry has found himself a new hobby - flashlights. Who knew flashlights could be a hobby? Let me just tell you there are actually online forums and groups that meet to talk about flashlights! Uh-huh. So, thanks to my cousin, Ryan has become obsessed with flashlights. He modifies them to make them brighter, stronger, and whatever else a flashlight can do. We've got flashlights that light up a whole room, shine all the way down the street and even burn holes through shorts. The above picture is the product of a flashlight left on while traveling. Ry was unpacking his bag and found his shorts like this. Needless to say, it was a proud moment for him. It's nice to know that if our power ever went out, our house would light up the sky like the Luxor hotel! And then it would burn to pieces.
